Orlando Sports Foundation board member and former UCF football captain Kyle Coltrain brings his family's company into the fight against cancer
ORLANDO, Fla. – Coltrain Onsite Fleet Care is an official sponsor of the 2026 StaffDNA Cure Bowl. Kickoff for the 12th annual game, operated by the Orlando Sports Foundation in collaboration with ESPN Events, a division of ESPN, is set for 5 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at Acrisure Bounce House. The game will air on ESPN. Coltrain Onsite mobile technicians serve fleets across 15 states, including Florida metros Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa and Miami.
In the past 11 years, the Cure Bowl has helped raise $6.83 million for cancer research. The Orlando community has benefited from the funds generated at the game, with local researcher Dr. Annette Khaled at the UCF (University of Central Florida) College of Medicine receiving more than $3.68 million of the funds distributed.
"The road is the heartbeat of American commerce. Drivers, trucks and trailers are its lifeblood. Our mobile technicians find issues on our customers' trucks and trailers early, fix them, and keep fleets compliant and moving safely. Cancer researchers defend people's health the same way, and the Cure Bowl funds that work. Every Coltrain Onsite team member is part of this sponsorship. Defend the Road. Defend the Cure," said Kyle and Kevin Coltrain, co-founders of Coltrain Onsite Fleet Care.
For the Coltrain family, the cause is personal. Kyle and Kevin's grandmother passed away from cancer. Their father, Ted Coltrain, played football at UCF and later served as president of the OSF board. Their uncle, Mike Dickinson, chairs the OSF board's Development Committee.
“365 days a year the Cure Bowl’s matchup is Orlando vs. cancer. Kyle Coltrain sits on the Orlando Sports Foundation Board of Directors, and he knows the importance of this game from on and off the field. From his experience being a captain for the UCF Knights football team in the 2016 Cure Bowl, to his company’s and family's involvement with the Cure Bowl today. We are proud to have Kyle Coltrain and Coltrain Onsite join our mission of bringing teams together to find a cure for cancer,” said Alan Gooch, CEO of the Orlando Sports Foundation and Executive Director of the StaffDNA Cure Bowl.
Coltrain Onsite team members across the country have their own reasons to support the cause. "My mom has been a breast cancer survivor since 2007, and my stepdaughter beat brain cancer when she was 10. If you ask her how she got through it, she'll tell you, 'You just gotta keep smiling.' Seeing how she takes on every day makes you appreciate what you have. I'm proud to work for a family-owned company that's in this fight. Defend the Cure," said Ben Wilson, a mobile service manager for Coltrain Onsite in Central Tennessee.
"I lost my mother to cancer in 2017. Cancer doesn't discriminate, and the impact reaches far beyond the person diagnosed. Supporting the fight against cancer is more than a corporate initiative to us. Defend the Cure," said Michael Campbell, director of business development for Coltrain Onsite in Orlando.
The StaffDNA Cure Bowl matchup will be announced Sunday, Dec. 6. General public tickets go on sale the same day, and memberships and hospitality packages are available now. To learn more or donate to cancer research, visit CureBowl.com.
